A GOOD Break-up song!
Break-ups are hard. There are feeling of sadness, anger, disappointment, mixed in with some confusion and maybe even relief.
Because there are so many negative aspects of a break-up, the songs, movies, art, and TV shows that center around it they are very negative.
Adele broke the mold with her new song. It sounds very sad and even says that it hurts, but she emphasizes that she’ll be fine, she wishes her ex the best, and she’ll move on. The song even remembers the good times.

Katy Perry – Teenage Dream
In this song, Katy Perry describes her relationship with her boyfriend and how he appreciates her for who she is. The way he treats her contributes to them having a very sound and romantic relationship that’s almost a “dream” to her.
Just the way you are!
There are a lot of negative messages in music today, but let’s take a moment to focus on a positive message! Bruno Mars’ hit “Just the way you are” focuses on love and respect and emphasizes that his girl doesn’t need to change or be objectified to be loved.

Kanye West
Kanye has a foundation that encourages youth to stay in school rather than drop out. On June 11, 2009 the Kanye Foundation partnered with the Highland Park High School in Chicago, IL to perform a free concert for students who were willing to work hard in school and improve their grades. The concert inspired kids to excel academically and to stay focused in life. Kanye is a great artist and humanitarian!
Beyonce Knowles
Beyonce Knowles has a foundation that helps the homeless and those who have lost everything due to disasters. She recently partnered with General Mills to deliver meals to those in need around Chicago. Beyonce shows she cares with her hard work and dedication to helping others.
Chris “Ludacris” Bridges
Ludacris is the founder of The Ludacris Foundation, which inspires youth through education to live their dreams. He preaches respect throughout some of his songs, such as “Runaway Love”, which teaches young ladies to love themselves as well as their bodies. Ludacris is a positive role model in the community and a great artist!
Christina Aguilera
Christina has many songs and charities that show she is an excellent role model. Christina’s song “Fighter” talks about being strong and having self-confidence. She also has another song that inspires, “Beautiful”. “Beautiful” reminds people that everyone possesses inner and outer beauty, no matter what people say.
John Legend
