Never been kissed

I’m 14 and I still haven’t had my first kiss. All my friends have boyfriends, but I don’t think I’m ready. There’s a guy who likes me, and my friends are really excited about me finally getting my first kiss, but I don’t know if I want to. Is there something wrong with me?

    Good Evening,
Do not feel ashamed. Although your friends are dating and engaging in some form of contact with their dating partners does not mean you have to. If you are not comfortable or ready to kiss a guy, then don’t be pressured to do so. There is nothing wrong with you. There are many teens that fall into the same boat as you. And, it is such a great and valuable thing that you have not started kissing because the time right now at such a young age is when you should be discovering who you are. So I congratulate you and I hope you feel better.

When I read this post I thought about all the things in life I haven’t done yet like: graduating from high school, flying a plane, or visiting the Great Wall of China! The point of that is, there are so many more things to worry about, ESPECIALLY at the age of 14. You have your life ahead of you, and many kisses laced throughout, just wait for them. When we rush things we often find the outcome slows us down. keep that in mind and know that nothings wrong with you.

There is nothing wrong with you. There are so many things to look forward to in life, especially at 14. You dont have to conform to societiy’s ideas of your own sexual maturity. Just do you and leave the rest behind.

trust me there isnt a thing wrong with you. taking your time and doing what you want on your own time is a sign of making sure you are safe and ready. waiting on that special kiss kind of makes you wonder who and when it will happen. just because the people and friends around you are doing it doesnt make it right. enjoy life and dont rush anything. and always remember your waiting but when you finally get that special kiss from that special someone its a WONDERFUL FEELING!
